Rumi Society

The Rumi Society is a non-profit cultural and educational organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and celebrating the timeless wisdom of Jalaluddin Rumi and the rich cultural heritage of Anatolia. Inspired by Rumi's universal message of love, compassion, peace, and mutual understanding, the Society serves as a bridge between cultures, fostering dialogue, friendship, and respect among people of diverse backgrounds.

Our mission is to inspire individuals and communities through educational, cultural, and artistic initiatives that reflect the enduring values of Rumi's teachings. We believe that culture and shared human values have the power to bring people together, encouraging harmony, empathy, and meaningful connections across faiths and traditions.

The Rumi Society organizes a wide range of activities, including cultural festivals, exhibitions, seminars, conferences, lectures, music and poetry evenings, Sufi heritage events, educational workshops, and community engagement programmes. These events showcase the beauty of Anatolian culture, history, literature, traditional arts, music, cuisine, and craftsmanship while promoting intercultural understanding and lifelong learning.

The Society is headquartered in the United Kingdom. The administrative work is currently conducted in Oxford. However, the Society’s events can take place in various locations around the world. Correspondence is strictly via electronic means unless otherwise advised.
